Where Every Pet Ranks Right Now
S+ Tier - The Holy Trinity
- Shadow Dragon - The king. Halloween 2019 exclusive. Highest consistent value in the entire game. If you have one, you basically have a blank check.
- Bat Dragon - Rivals Shadow in demand. Also Halloween 2019. Stupidly rare.
- Giraffe - From the retired Safari Egg. One of the oldest pets still actively traded.
S Tier - Elite Pets
- Frost Dragon - Christmas 2019 exclusive. Iconic look, stable value. Always in demand.
- Owl - From the retired Farm Egg. Holds value like crazy.
- Parrot - Jungle Egg legendary. Great stepping stone for trading up.
- Crow - Farm Egg legendary. Reliable high-value pet.
A Tier - Worth Holding
- Evil Unicorn - Halloween 2019. Collectors love this one.
- Arctic Reindeer - Christmas event pet. Solid, steady value.
- Albino Monkey - From Monkey Fairground. Rare and desirable.
- African Wild Dog - Recent limited exotic with strong demand.
B Tier - Good Stepping Stones
- Turtle - Aussie Egg legendary. Great for trading up gradually.
- Kangaroo - Another Aussie Egg pet. Decent value.
- Unicorn - Always in demand because everyone wants one. Easy to trade.
- Dragon - Common legendary but always has buyers.
C Tier - Not Worth Much
- Current egg pets - Easy to get, so low trade value.
- Common/Uncommon pets - Only worth something in bulk or as Neon/Mega versions.
How Pet Values Actually Work
This confuses a lot of people. Here's the breakdown:
- Availability is everything. Pets from retired eggs or limited events can't be obtained anymore. That's why they're worth so much.
- Demand beats rarity. A popular pet everyone wants is worth more than a rare pet nobody cares about. Sounds obvious, but people forget this.
- Ride Potions are currency. Traders measure value in RP. "Worth 50 RP" means its value equals 50 Ride Potions.
- "No Potion" pets can be worth MORE. Pets that never had Fly or Ride applied are more valuable to serious collectors. Seems backwards, right?
- Values change daily. New updates, events, and hype cycles shift everything. What's hot today might drop tomorrow.
Neon & Mega Neon - Is It Worth Combining?
Not always. Seriously - do the math before combining.
- Neon pets = 4 full-grown versions of the same pet combined. They glow with a colored aura.
- Mega Neon pets = 4 full-grown Neons combined. They cycle through rainbow colors. Absolutely stunning.
- Here's the catch: sometimes selling 4 individual pets separately gives you MORE than the Neon version would. If 4 pets are worth 200 RP total but the Neon sells for 150 RP... don't combine.
- Always check market values first. This one mistake costs players thousands of RP worth of value.
- Mega Neons of rare pets are insanely valuable though. A Mega Neon Shadow Dragon is one of the most valuable items in any Roblox game. Period.
Trading Tips That'll Save You
- Use value trackers. Check AdoptMeValues.app or AdoptMeTradingValues.com before accepting ANY trade. No exceptions.
- Trade up gradually. Don't try to jump from common to legendary in one trade. Build step by step.
- Bundle smaller items. Offer multiple mid-tier pets for one higher-tier pet. Most traders will accept good bundles.
- Learn what's "in demand." High-demand pets move faster than high-value low-demand pets.
- Be patient. Good trades take time. Don't accept a bad deal because you're bored.
Don't Fall for These Scams
Scams in Adopt Me are ridiculously common. Here's how to protect yourself:
- Never trade outside the game. Only use the official in-game trading system.
- Double-check the trade window. Scammers swap pets at the last second. Always verify before clicking Accept.
- "Too good to be true" = scam. Someone offering a Shadow Dragon for your Unicorn? Something's wrong. Walk away.
- Never trust middlemen. Unless you personally know someone, don't give your pets to a third party. Ever.
- Ignore "trust trades." There's no such thing as a legitimate trust trade. It's always a scam. Always.
Building Your Inventory From Nothing
- Hatch eggs daily. Even cheap eggs can give legendaries. It's a numbers game.
- Complete tasks for money. Use earnings to buy eggs and Ride Potions.
- Trade your duplicates. Got 2+ of the same pet? Trade the extras for something you don't have.
- Focus on retired egg pets. These go up in value over time. Hold them.
- Age up pets to Full Grown. Full Grown pets are worth slightly more than newborn versions. Free value.
Event Pets - Your Biggest Opportunity
This is how smart players build wealth. Pay attention:
- Play every single event. Event pets become valuable the moment the event ends and supply stops.
- Stock up as much as possible. Get multiple event pets. Their value only goes up.
- Don't trade them immediately. Wait 2-4 weeks after the event ends. Supply drops, prices rise. Patience pays.
- Halloween and Christmas events historically produce the most valuable limited pets.
Trading Mistakes That'll Hurt
- Not checking values. Trading blind is how you lose your best pets. Takes 30 seconds to look it up.
- Accepting the first offer. Shop around. Better offers exist.
- Making Neons without doing the math. Sometimes individual pets sell for more. Check first.
- Panic trading during hype. When a new update drops, values go crazy. Wait for things to stabilize.
- Applying Fly/Ride to rare pets. "No Potion" versions can actually be worth MORE to collectors. You might be destroying value.
- Falling for scams. If it seems too good to be true, it is. Walk away.
